FRENCH ARTIST JR IN KENYA TO LAUNCH BOOK

The women who took part in JR’s global project will autograph and distribute 500 copies to the community at the MSF compound in Gatwekera, Kibera, on Friday July 30, 2010 from 4.00 p.m. The French Ambassador in Kenya, Elisabeth Barbier, will attend the event.
JR first came to Kenya in 2007. This way, the train reconstituted the faces every time it passed by.
In addition, 2000 square meters of rooftops were covered with photos of the eyes and faces of the women of Kibera.

JR and his team are continuing their action by covering 2000 square meters more of rooftops in Kibera, close to the first area. This is part of the actions being supported by the JR foundation.
The JR foundation was created to give a social continuity to his projects, after he has accomplished the artistic action, as he already did in Brazil.
