For the second year running, Mwafaka Awards took place at the Kenya National Theatre
The list of winners were drawn from the Eastlands part of town and it saw Michelle Mumbi, the daughter of gospel legend Esther Wahome, scoop the Female Artist of the Year award. Michelle dedicated her trophy to her mother and mentor.
Other winners included Song of the Year went to male-group Skizza for their song Naona Macho, Dance Group of the Year was awarded to Alabastar while Mc Dice walked away with the Video of the Year category for his RnB single On and On.
The Male Artist of The Year category went to Kris for the single Eeh Baba as Sadu Brothers of Linus Muiruri and James Mwangi were awarded Group Artist of the Year category. Collabo Song of the year award went to Real Geez, for their song featuring Luminus and DJ Germain in the song Kaza Kamba.
Tony of M.O.G and Monique were the MCs.
