MUNYA GOES TO UGANDA



Reality TV star Munya from the Big Brother Africa 3 hit show will be in Uganda in October.
Munya will make an appearance for the official opening of Blu Haze bar in Kampala. The Zimbabwean housemate will be the guest star at the relaunch of the bar.

IS BEYONCE GOING TO KAMPALA?



If tabloid reports are anything to go by, Beyonce is scheduled to give a performance in Uganda, days before Christmas. This is causing quite the furore in the corporate circles as two major Telecommunications companies in the country, are reportedly tussling to sponsor the diva’s concert, set to take place in Kampala.
The unnamed telecom giants have both contacted the event promoter, a Joseph Masembe to land the concert, reports the tabloids.
The Put a Ring On It star is set to stage a performance on December 19 and is expected to arrive in Kampala the day before her show. Beyonce will also do a charity tour in Uganda before she leaves the country on December 23.

Shaggy Arrives In Uganda



International star Shaggy jeted into Uganda on Thursday for the Orange Karnival slated for Saturday. The Jamaican/American star will come aboard Ethiopian Airways. One Said: ''Shaggy is coming tonight with his full band. Stars such as Rayvon are returning with him. Its going to be a massive concert''. The Karnival will also have other stars like Kenya's Nameless.
Kenya, you can suck on that…no really.

Alicia Keys to open schools in Uganda



American singer Alicia Keys is funding the building of two schools in Rakai District, Uganda. The progress of completing the two schools is currently in the final stages, according to the Ugandan media. Alicia is known in East Africa for her campaign for HIV/Aids prevention. The completion of the schools will benefit at least 500 orphaned pupils who have been affected by the Aids scourge. The will be offered full board accommodation with meals for free.
Alicia, who is the Co-Founder and Global Ambassador of Keep A Child live, believes Aids treatment and realistic prevention measures go hand-in-hand and must become equally accessible worldwide.
