Jazz maestros Gerald Albright and Jonathan Butler are expected to perform in Kenya and Uganda. The two are going to be the main headliners at this year’s Sierra Jazz Safari set for October 10 in Nairobi and on October 8 in Uganda.
Jonathan Butler is a world renowned South African singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Cape Town. He has released over 20 albums.
This will be Gerald’s second trip to Kenya. He was in the country last December for the same jazz affair, which was sponsored by Sierra Premium beer. Other acts who performed were Aaron Rimbui, Hellon, Kanjii Mbugua, Maia Van Lekow among others. That was the debut jazz fest which acted as a launch.
The Jazz Safari is on again this time at Kampala Serena Hotel and in Nairobi at Bomas.
