DID GUUS MEET ABRAMOVICH IN MOMBASA?
Numerous media reports tipping Guus Hiddink as a possible successor to replace under-fire Blues coach Carlos Ancelotti, led me to think, mmmh, interesting! Guus and Abramovic were both holidaying in Mombasa at the same time.
Abramovic was staying at the Lion In The Sun In Malindi, owned by Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore while Guus and his wife was at Alfajiri Cotages in Diani, owned and hosted by Italian Fabrizio Molinaro.
The Dutchman was ambushed at the Nyumba Ya Yatima orphanage in Ukunda. Where he was asked if he had a meeting with Abramovic and the possibility of a return to Stamford Bridge.
He said he cannot comment on the matter and he has not seen Abramovic, adding, he was on holiday and enjoyed the coastal beauty. Guus jetted out of the country on Friday, January 7.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Guus's agent insists that a return to Stamford Bridge would be "impossible". Guss guided the Blues to an FA Cup triumph, a third place finish in the Premier League and an agonising Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Barcelona during his brief tenure.
