MEET GHETTO RADIO'S MAN WAZIMU

Peter Wagany a.k.a Man Wazimu a.k.a Virgin Man aka Da Present is a Nairobi based reggae artiste with a unique voice and style. The artiste who also works for Ghetto Radio earned his mettle by working hard at his music.
With a humble backgroud, Man Wazimu did not let the scarcity of resources in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums weigh him down. He took his inspiration for music from pioneer Hardstone to record and release his first single with Scratch Records' producer Roba. He later recorded other tracks like Witness, Other Kenyans and Airtime With Airtime.
According to Man Wazimu, Airtime with Airtime made it to the chats of a UK based radio station called All FM in a show hosted by DJ Raven called top 20 rising reggae artiste in the world.



Anyho, his other singles have stamped their authority in local reggae chats.
"Other selektas like DJ Pauze of UK, Prince Thierry of France, Jaffa Mafia of New Zealand recognize the new sound of reggae. In this business where the strong do not survive, the weak have no chance only those who are adaptive live, I have been consistent with conscious lyrics infused by righteous teachings," he told Hot Secrets.
Man Wazimu has also worked with various producers like Keygun of Sonic Sounds where he did Nah Obsessed featuring a budding singer Eimah Rox, Own Cross and Give Me Strength featuring Keygun, DJ Supa Kush a Kansas based producer voicing a bashment riddim titled Rude Awakening with a song called Sim Card. He has also worked with Waunde Music resulting with songs Emergency Pills, Kogallo and Prisoners Xmas on Santa Clause Riddim
"I'm currently putting finishing touches to his debut album watch out for the album be part of Da Present striving to increase my digital presence and buzz that is a journey to tell a Kenyan story in musical setting."
