NYAMBANE AND LINDA IN PRISON!

This time not for any wrong doing but to promote Home-based HIV testing and counseling among Prison Service staff members. Nyambane and Linda joined the Aids Control Unit (ACU) of Kenya Prison Services headed by Mrs. Mary Chepkonga, the Senior superintendent of prisons (SSP) Headquarters in Mombasa and the team is expected to visit all prisons Staff quarters countrywide to promote this methodology. The aim of this approach is to bring testing and counseling closer to the staff in the comfort of their homes as it gives families an opportunity to get to know their HIV status together and be able to support each other in ensuring that there is no anxiety when it comes to disclosure. The previous campaigns have centered around inmates but with the realization that the Staff are highly vulnerable. The Testing and counseling is being undertaken by The International Medical Corps. Nyambane and Linda have been undertaking HIV activations across the country and especially in Institutions of Higher Learning, highly populated areas and the most recent and successful campaign was together with USAID and the Ministry of Health and Sanitation during world cup where the campaign managed to get 1.2 million men tested with 4 weeks of the campaign.

Is DNA dating Linda Muthama?

Unlike the States where celebrity couples are the norm, in Kenya two celebs seeing each other is still a big deal. Celeb couples Nameless and Wahu, Abbas and Baby Gangsta are now joined by Linda Muthama and DNA. The two have reportedly been seeing each other in secret for the past two months. A Word Is snitch spotted the couple in Mombasa about two weeks ago. When reached for comment however DNA refused to answer any questions about their relationship but revealed, “I was working in Mombasa that weekend.” Linda was unavailable for comment by the time we went to press.
