WYRE AND CECILE'S MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT FOR SHE SAY DAT!

Dancehall stars Ce’cile and Wyre shot the music video to the remix of the song She Say Dat on Sunday at the Film Studios.
Jamaica's Bad Gyal and Kenya's Love Child heated up the set of the music video to the salacious remix. However they were short for time as Ce'cile's was scheduled to be at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 8pm and the shoot had began a few minutes past 6pm.

Wyre told Hot Secrets, the reason he chose She Say Dat for a remix is because, “I wanted a club banger and I know she (Ce'cile) would carry the storyline well.”
The video will also premiere Wyre and Airforce's new dance style called Kode. The video is shot and directed by Thome of Boomba Videos.
Anyho, here are some of the behind the scene photos from the shoot.

WYRE SCOOPS NIGERIA’S SOUND CITY AWARD IN ABSENTIA

Wyre and Tu Face at a past event

Wyre the Love Child was awarded the Best East African act late last month in the Sound City awards held in Nigeria.
The awards, which are meant to bridge the gap in African music to the rest of the world, took place on November 20 in Lagos. “I'm really excited about clinching the award. There was some stiff competition in my category, but I thank God for coming through,” he told Hot Secrets.
The Sina Makosa star did not attend the ceremony saying, “I was scheduled to attend a music workshop prior to my invitation, but my agent in Nigeria attended the awards and accepted it on my behalf.”
Another Kenyan who was nominated for the awards has a bone to pick with the organisers. Yvonne Darcq who was nominated in the best RnB category said, “The event organizers have been avoiding us and cut contacts with us yet they claim we are part of the awards,” adding that, the organizers failed to send flight tickets to facilitate for their travel to Lagos for the ceremony.

Anyhow, Wyre believes his win validates his entry into the West African market. “I think doors are definitely opening up for me in the Nigerian market. Winning this award leaves me no doubt about it. I've done a collaboration album with a number of Nigerian artists scheduled for release this December. It features P-Square, Banky W, MI, Kel, Faze and Malam Spicey. I'm sure this will help me solidify my market there.”

LUTAN FYAH SUPORTS KENYA’S GREENFEST CAMPAIGN

Reggae act Lutan Faya has joined the GreenFest campaign, a Kenyan initiative to save the planet through music. The reggae act, will be joining a host of other Kenyan stars for the 3-day music and arts festival December 31 to January 2, 2011.
The festival is an emerging annual new life festival that hopes to encourage young adults and the creative industry at large to take on and address the most serious and potentially dangerous consequences to their health and well being caused by Climate Change through music, arts, culture and interactions.
However signing Lutan to the cause has not been easy. The organizer Henry Kioko a.k.a Carlos Henry told Hot Secrets that, some promoters in Kenya are calling Lutan’s agent Ra-Umi Alkebulan to shortchange him.
“There are some people already calling Alkebulan from Kenya and seeking deals with Lutan. Kenyans are funny crooks. He was so surprised people would call him instead of working with us. We are the exclusive agents. We shall sell Lutan in Kampala, Zimbabwe and South Africa.”
Currently Lutan is getting heavy rotation on Fm Radio stations for his hits like Jail, Looking Hot, Mighty Mouth, Give Thanks featuring I Wayne and One Life. The other acts also signed for the cause include Wyre the Love Child and Mutinda.
