GM has recalled over 125,000 Hummer H3s due to a slight risk that the hood could detach from the vehicles while driving.
The digital ink isn’t even dry on a story about Nissan recalling the Infiniti G35, and yet another recall has been issued today.
Apparently not to be outdone by the Japanese who are having all the fun these days with recalls, GM has stepped up and warned that a piece of the Hummer H3 hood might fly off of the vehicle while in motion.
Autonews.com has confirmed that GM has filed the issue with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, claiming that clips that hold the hood in place may break, which could cause them to fly off.  Drivers of the H3 would likely be fine.  Anyone behind them however, would have automotive history to take with them to the hospital.
The recall affects all H3s from 2006 through 2010. GM has recently announced that it will shut down the Hummer line after failing to find a buyer.
