COLOUR AND CELEBS AT THE CHAT AWARDS

So… Chaguo La Teeniez went down last week on Saturday at the Carnivore grounds, well, a lot went down.
I have already posted the list of winners over hurrr

Tears were shed over winning, fans screaming for their favourite acts on stage and eyebrows raised at the entrances.
The 9th annual CHAT Awards took place with teeniez choosing their favourite stars for the year 2011.

Every year, the CHAT Awards develop a theme that resonates with the youth culture. This year’s ‘Revved Up’ was inspired by the positive aspects of Kenya’s matatu culture. To Kenya’s youth, the matatu is more than just a mode of public transport; it is a vehicle that allows them to interact with the pillars of youth culture; from fashion and music, to technology and entertainment the matatu plays an influential role in their daily lives.

Furthermore, the matatu culture has spawned a fully fledged industry that has created thousands of jobs and even played a massive role in promoting Kenya’s music industry, via the street DJ mixes.
This year’s CHAT Awards was also graced by Jamaican superstars QQ and Denyque.
