The event which will be held in Spain will showcase a wide range of global music stars including Astillero (Argentina), Aurelio Martinez (Honduras), David Walters (France), DJ Grace Kelly (Brazil/Germany), and Enzo Avitabile & Kalman Balogh Gypsy Cimbalom Band (Hungary).
Africa’s representatives will be our very own Suzanna Owiyo, Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni ba (Mali), Staff Benda Bilili (Congo-Kinshasa) and Les Amazones de Guinée (Guinea-Conakry)
This international fair which brings together professionals from the worlds of folk, roots, ethnic and traditional music and also includes concerts, conferences and documentary films contributes to networking as an effective means of promoting music and culture of all kinds across frontiers. This prestigious fair honours quality, creativity and success in global music on the international level.
Earlier this year Suzanna was one of the performers at the Zain sponsored 46664 concert in Hyde Park London that was hosted to celebrate the 90th birthday of former President of South Africa and Nobel Prize winner, Mr Nelson Mandela.
