The filmmakers behind Wahu and Bobi’s music video Little Things You do were awarded yesterday at The Stanley.
Ngethe Gitungo, Steve Kibunja and Roy Ogolla each received a state of the art Mac Book pro in recognition of their accomplishments after winning the MTV Making the Video with Shell 2008 contest.
Lupita Nyongo who was the producer of the video was absent as she was out of the country, but her older sister, Zawadi who recently survived a road accident, received the prize on her behalf.
The Kenyan team who were mentored by US director Melina Matsoukis trounced crews from South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria who also came up with concepts of making a video. The making of the Kenyan video was aired on MTVbase under the yearly project, MTV Making The Video Challenge with Shell last year October.
They won by popular votes from viewers across Africa who voted Wahu and Bobi Wine’s video as the most creative.
