Cherie Blair’s Kenyan mission of mercy
Cherie Blair, the wife of former British Prime Minister was in Nairobi over the weekend and rubbing shoulders with the great and the good in aid of a charity she chairs, The Loomba Trust International which was launching in Kenya.
The Kenyan chapter of the charity was launched during a dinner on Sunday night at the plush residence of Businessman Narendra Raval
Amongst the invited guests was Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka who was photographed speaking with the President of Loomba Trust International, Cherie Blair and Raval at the dinner.
Mrs Blair has hit the headlines on a number occasions in less than flattering or controversial circumstances.
She was connected by the British press to a fraudster Peter Foster - jailed on three continents – who was behind a bogus slimming aid called Bai Lin tea.
The objectives of the Loomba Trust are to promote the welfare and education of children of poor widows, orphaned children, and also children who have lost their mothers, as a result of natural disaster and for other auxiliary purposes as the trustees may determine.
