Former President attends the ballet
The Republic of Belarus’ Culture ministry, yesterday morning hosted performances in Nairobi by the Belarusian State Choreographic College where the guest of honour was former President Daniel Arap Moi.
The former president, who during his 24 years in power, often told Kenyans to treasure their culture, was accompanied to the ballet by Sports minister Helen Sambili. The ex-president’s former aide Joshua Kulei was also present at the plush function.
The group performed to the music of Ludwig Minkus (aka Léon Fyodorovich Minkus), including the Grand Pas Classique from the ballet Paquita and15 other pieces.
