Morgan Heritage: The people’s cry is in our music

Three of the Morgan Heritage siblings Lukes, Peter and Mojo yesterday called a press conference at their part sponsor’s the Standard Group’s offices.
During the news conference, Peter, the lead singer and most vocal of the brothers fielded all the questions from reporters.
One particular question they were asked was, as role models what positive advice do you have for the youth regarding HIV AIDS?
Peter replied saying, “The issues are bigger than Morgan Heritage and when we hear the peoples cry we voice it in our music. You cannot expect Morgan Heritage to come to Kenya to open the minds of the people or any other artiste. It started within the homes parents cannot put their jobs off (and expect) the entertainers to do it. We can only facilitate them by raising their conscious level to decipher what is true and what is a lie.”
The band will be playing at the Mombasa Beach Hotel in Nyali from 11pm tonight for their second and final show. The gate charges are Sh1,000 advance and Sh1,500 at the gate.
